We have over 25 years of experience processing wild game, and we take great care in getting your meat from harvest to table.
Most deer are processed within 2 days. On opening day of WV gun season, early drop offs are processed the same day and usually the next day for the rest of the day's drop offs.
We can process any wild game,
including Deer, Caribou, Bear, Antelope, Boar, Elk, Turkey and more!
We are not licensed to process domestic animals.
B & B Custom Butchering does domestic animals north of us, and Sliders Processing & Smoked Meats does them south of us.
We provide a variety of options from basic processing to sausages and smoking. The 2025 Processing Flyer can be found HERE. Prices & options are in the flyer. Mounting options can be found on the Skulls page.
Please note: there will be a surcharge on game brought in the 1st week of WV Buck Firearms season (see below).
All deer go into the garage door that is pictured.
BACK UP to the garage door to drop off. Backing up allows you drop the animal right off your tailgate, rather than dragging it across the lot.
Please drop off at least 15 min. before closing, so we have time to skin & clean up.
The glass door is where you will check in...
We can not accept deer without a confirmation/check in number. Please have the deer checked in BEFORE you bring it to us.
And, we need to write down the number with your name.
So, please have it quickly accessible... Have it written down separate from the tag that is on the deer, or have it on your phone.
Every deer comes back to you in a waxed box meant specifically for meat.
These are for you to keep. However, if you have no use for it, after transferring the meat to a cooler, feel free to leave it.
If we have already left the building, please leave it propped up by the door.
We do charge if we are saving the head/rack of your deer.
How much depends on what we are doing.
If you want to avoid a charge, please cut off the head or rack before you bring the deer to us.
For liability reasons, we can not give you a knife or saw to do it while you are here.
The best way to bring in your deer is field dressed (fully gutted) and unskinned.
We do charge for deer that are not fully gutted. So please make sure all organs have been removed before bringing it in.
Ice may be left in.
For many reasons, we prefer you drop off with the hide on.
The hide will act as an insulator. If it is warmer overnight, put ice in the empty cavity and the hide will keep it cool better than skinning it.
We do not offer a discount if you bring it in already skinned, or in quarters.
Smoked products are smoked and cooked, but they are not injected with preservatives like some you find in grocery stores. Therefore, they should be kept frozen until you are ready to use them. If they will not be used within several weeks, they should also be put in freezer bags or vacuum sealed for longer storage.
Burger is packaged in 2 different sizes.
Custom packages will come in bags that weigh 1-1.75 lbs. each.
The ground package bags will weigh about 1.75-2.25 lbs. each.
We say 1-2 lbs. & 2-3 lbs. for simplification purposes, but the larger ones especially, never get filled to the max.
Opening week of WV gun season (the week of Thanksgiving), we charge a $25 surcharge on all deer brought in. This is due to the higher labor costs involved in obtaining workers for the long hours of hard work needed for that time. It also allows us to take all deer, without turning any away.
All deer get a number. You will get the same number. You need this number to pick up, and even to get information over the phone. If you think you may loose it, take a picture of it.
All digital transactions
(any type of card, apple pay etc.) will incur a 3.5% fee. Avoid this easily by bringing cash.
Cash is King!
We carry the WV DNR calendars. Besides 12 months of gorgeous paintings, these have sunrise & sunset times. As well as season dates and fun facts.
